Background & Inspiration

What inspired you to start ChromaVerse Polish?

I've always needed a creative outlet—painting, crocheting, content creation, or even experimenting with different instruments. When I discovered the world of indie nail polish, I knew I had found my true passion. The possibilities felt endless, allowing me to blend artistry with self-expression in a way that truly resonated with me. ChromaVerse Polish became the perfect way to channel my love for creativity while celebrating the fandoms that inspire me.

How do your passions for music, gaming, and anime influence your polish creations?

You know that feeling when you discover something you love and become entirely wrapped up in it for months? That rush, that hyperfixation, almost feels like it rewires your brain chemistry. I wanted to pay tribute to the things that have shaped me—those pivotal moments where music, gaming, and anime became more than just hobbies; they became part of who I am.

Music, especially K-pop, fuels my creativity. It combines everything I love about different genres and delivers it in a perfectly polished package. Gaming takes me to worlds I never want to leave, places that feel like home, even if they only exist on a screen. And anime? There’s nothing like getting wholly immersed in a gripping storyline that it leaves you craving more.

ChromaVerse Polish is my way of capturing those emotions—bottling up that passion so others can carry a piece of their favorite worlds with them right at their fingertips.

The Creative Process

How do you go from an idea to a finished polish?

I work from three different lists: one for colors I’ve seen in the world that I think would make a great base shade, one for things I want to pay homage to, and one where the inspiration and color come to mind instantly as a perfect match.

From there, I start mixing and layering pigments until I get that “aha” moment—when everything clicks, and the idea comes to life. That’s when a new polish is born. The hardest part? Naming it. I want each name to nod to the source of inspiration while staying subtle enough that anyone can enjoy it, whether they recognize the reference or not.

Do you have a favorite polish you’ve created? If so, why?

Without a doubt, Moon Tour is my favorite polish I’ve created. Taeyong’s album TAP was on repeat for me when it was released, and as someone who loves all things space, Moon Tour instantly clicked. The imagery of a midnight sky with golden shimmers came to mind immediately, and I knew I had to bring it to life.

At the time of this post, Taeyong is the only artist with his own polish in one of my collections, which makes Moon Tour even more special. It perfectly captures the dreamy, cosmic energy that inspired it.

Personal Fandom & Favorites

What are your top three favorite animes, games, and K-pop groups?

Anime: I’m a huge fan of thriller and suspense, but I actually prefer to read my anime. My favorite mangas are The Promised Neverland, Battle Royale, and Ikigami. As for mangakas, Shūzō Oshimi, Inio Asano, and Naoki Urasawa are my top three—anything they write, I’ll buy blindly.

Games: The Mass Effect trilogy changed my life. Do you want me to buy something? Slap an N7 logo on it. The only game that has ever come remotely close to giving me the same feeling is Baldur’s Gate 3, which instantly shot to my top three—even though I don’t like turn-based games. Rounding out the list is Far Cry 3 because Vaas is easily one of my all-time favorite villains. Honorable mentions go to Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and Valhalla.

K-pop: Monsta X is my ult group, and Joohoney is my ult bias. If there are no more Monbebes, I have died. I also stan BTS, NCT, and Ateez—with Yoongi, Ten, and Hongjoong as my biases. I know that’s four, but I do what I want. 😌

Which polish in your collection best represents you?

I wear Venomous Touch the most, partly because green is my favorite color and it has such a beautiful finish. But if I had to pick one that truly represents me, it would be Keelah Sa'lai. It’s dark and moody, yet still sparkly in the right light—just like me.

Business & Future Goals

What are your future plans for the brand? Are there any dream collections in mind?

Right now, I'm a one-person operation, so progress may be a bit slow at the start. My biggest goal is to launch my Reader Fandom Collection, which I aim to release by the end of the year. Once I’ve established myself and am seeing steady sales, I plan to invest in nicer packaging options. I’d also love to collaborate with other indie polish projects in the future!

How do you hope ChromaVerse Polish connects with the community and fellow fans?

Beyond just products, I want each polish to spark a sense of belonging and creativity, where fans can come together, share their stories, and feel seen. Ultimately, I want ChromaVerse Polish to be a space where passion meets artistry, and everyone can find a little piece of their fandom to carry with them. I hope the brand fosters a community where people can celebrate what they love, whether it’s through conversations about their favorite shows, games, or music or simply by wearing a polish that makes them feel connected to the things that matter most. It’s all about creating an inclusive space that lets creativity flow freely, letting fans express themselves in a personal and meaningful way.
